Bergdale House was the original Farm House at Bergdale Farm and has great history. It was originally built by Harry Wolhuter, one of the founder Rangers in the Kruger Park working with Stevenson Hamilton.  Harry was famous for single handedly killing a lion whilst he was on his horse with only his penknife. Harry Wolhuter’s section of the Kruger Park was Pretoriuskop, and the Kruger Park back in 1882 extended as far as the Sand River which is only 1km from Bergdale Farm

Bergdale House is our largest 2 bedroom cottage and has a private plunge pool and large stoep with sun deck. The tastefully restored farm house has beautiful views into natural grasslands.  The cottage has two bedrooms both with their own private/ensuite  bathroom complete with walk in showers. The bedrooms have luxury Kingsize beds with soft bed linen to ensure you get the perfect nights rest. The kitchen / lounge area is very spacious and the lounge even has a candle lit area! You will find everything you need in the cottage for self-catering along with DSTV and free wifi.  You will love the privacy, pool and space in this Cottage.
